DESCRIPTION:
As a Sales manager you are responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and toursof the hotel. Also develops strategic action plansfor hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.
Identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommend tools and sales training to optimize performance of sales team. Additionally work with individual hotel teams to identify skill development areas and properly deploy sales and marketingresources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Drive all aspects of the tour and travel, and group leisure sales for the hotel
· Target key accounts potential for the company.
· Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAMtrips, trade shows, etc.
· Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
· Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
· Acquire and develop new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.
· Closely follow up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.
· Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then setgoals to determine action plans to meet those goals.
· Update action plans and financial objectives.
· Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
· Represent Hotels in various events and exhibition, will require travel outside of Resort.
· Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
· Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
· Attend all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
· Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
· Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
· Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence).
· Able to supports hotels service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
· Work closely with Revenue team to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
· Develop strong relationships with on property hotelteam to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
· Coordinate with the F&B Manager the day-to-day operations of events space at Pan Pacific Whistler through BEO’s and direct communication
· Act as the primary point of contact to welcome the group arrivals
· Ensure accuracy with sales, payroll, inventory and administrative processes. Submitting month-end reports as required.
· Inspect and oversee the presentation of all banquet facilities and equipment in coordination with the F&B Manager.
· Resolve guest and employee complaints. Keep Director of Sales informed of any risk or opportunity in relation to any experience or interaction.
· Maintain professional business confidentiality.
· Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
· Lead and support the Sales team, day to day operation, short and long term performance management, training and development, engagement, recognition, communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:

· Possess a passion for customer service.
· Previous Sales experience.
· Previous supervisory or management experience in a 4-star hotel/restaurant an asset.
· Possess strong leadership and organizational skills, and demonstrate an eye for detail.
· Knowledge of Micros, Opera, Microsoft Office an asset
· Valid BC Driver’s License
· Proven written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in producing professional documents and communications.
· 3-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major an asset.

Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
