Boy, it sure is bad news everywhere these days, especially in Alberta. GE is laying off 250 people in the Edmonton call centre....just a few months ago they were sending out junk mail for recruting people in this facility...times sure change fast in Alberta.

i worked for jacobs engineering and was laid off. I've never been treated so bad by an employer in my life i was sent a e-mail and forced to wait until the allotted time. Then i was escorted out of the building like i was trash. I worked so much overtime i hardly saw my family while i was there an at this festive time of year. My christmas bonus was we got we wanted so get lost we have no use for you now. i'm not sure but i think about 40 people were laid off from 200.
