    Life in Edmonton

Edmonton is amongst the best places to find jobs in Canada. There are lots of jobs in Edmonton

but like other places in Alberta, housing is a challenge .

What are the things to do in Edmonton? Is it worthwhile to move to Edmotnon for career growth? What is night life like in the city like?

Edmonton sucks big time....high property taxes, poor quality of roads, transient labor 'neighbours', high inflation and really snobbish attitutude. edmonton is worse than fort mcmurray...

and did i say there's nothing to do there....absolutely nothing other than a mall for the winter and the river valley for   the 15 day summer....

look how people are complaining about the city here:

Yeah, think I'm inclined to agree with you. I have relatives who live there and I don't know why? Other than the fact that they were born there. Sure I don't mind visiting for a few days, in the Summer. But there really in not too much to do, except the mall, oh, and liquorland. Don't get me wrong, I like visiting my relatives. We have a lot of fun hanging out. Again, after a few days I have to roll. I love the change of scenery in Alberta, there is a lot of beautiful country to see there, but Edmonton...eh? Not really my cup o' tea!

    Re: Life in Edmonton

I lived in Alberta for 7 years. During that time I never lived directly in either Edmonton or Calgary and had no friends or family in either city. Having visited both cities numerous times over the course of those seven years, and many times when not living in Alberta, I prefer by far Edmonton.

I now reside on Vancouver Island in BC.. out of everywhere I've been and lived in Canada, by far the best.

To summerize, the best part of life in edmonton is to visit it or pass through it on business.
